OUR DIRECTOR
Fr. Robert H. Masciocchi, CSS gives Day and Weekend Retreats and other programs at the Espousal Retreat Center of Waltham, MA, including Marriage Preparation. He has spent more than 25 years in ministry at the Espousal Retreat Center, where he has served as director since 1996. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from the Andover-Newton Theological School. He integrates prayer and Scripture in the counseling process. We are a sensible alternative for your next corporate meeting or conference. Located at 554 Lexington Street in Waltham, Massachusetts, the Espousal Retreat Center is a business like, yet peaceful atmosphere, conducive to effective, focused meetings. The Retreat Center is set on fifty acres and is easily accessible from the Massachusetts Turnpike and Routes 128/95. Some of our features include:

Our Marriage Preparation program is offered fourteen weekends throughout the year at the Retreat Center in Waltham, MA. They are usually held on the first weekend of the month (unless there is a holiday) plus two additional weekends. The program begins with registration on Saturday evening at 5:30pm and concludes on Sunday with Mass and a special blessing prayer. The program ends by 5:00pm on Sunday. An overnight stay is not required; however, accommodations can be provided if requested. Two married couples and a priest form the Team. A brief presentation is given; a handout is completed by each individual privately; the engaged couple is then given time to share their responses and to dialogue with each other. Included in the program are group discussions, an engagement blessing, lunch on Sunday, and Mass. At the conclusion of Mass, certificates are presented to certify that the couple has completed the Marriage Preparation Program.
